Enjoyed tonight's show so much- wish I'd been brave & got my CDs signed! May I ask a couple of things now instead? What was the Beethoven letter called again; & which bit of Orpheus & Eurydice was it?

James Rhodes responded on 05/09/2013
A

Thank you! It was the Beethoven heiligenstadt testament. And the Gluck was Orfeo's melody from the opera, transcribed for piano by Sgambati.

I found your article, "Find What You Love...." full of truth and vigor and inspiration. What specifically did you mean by, "the right teacher?"

James Rhodes responded on 05/02/2013
A

Hi James, I just wondered if you have ever considered releasing a cd of just one composer's work rather than a compilation? I only ask as I just love how beautifully you play Chopin :-)

James Rhodes responded on 03/03/2013
A

Always considering CD ideas. Like to keep things mixed in general though... Thanks for the kind words :)

Hi James, I loved your TEDx talk! I wondered: which is your favorite of out of Gould's Wagner piano transcription? Have a lovely day. :)

James Rhodes responded on 03/03/2013
A

Thank you! Has to be the Meistersinger overture (even though he cheated in parts and overdubbed). Amazing, amazing piece :)
