Enjoyed tonight's show so much- wish I'd been brave & got my CDs signed! May I ask a couple of things now instead? What was the Beethoven letter called again; & which bit of Orpheus & Eurydice was it?

Thank you! It was the Beethoven heiligenstadt testament. And the Gluck was Orfeo's melody from the opera, transcribed for piano by Sgambati.

I found your article, "Find What You Love...." full of truth and vigor and inspiration. What specifically did you mean by, "the right teacher?"

Thank you. I meant someone who you like, who knows what they're doing (when it comes to showing you how to practise correctly), who can inspire and enthuse and doesn't simply see it as a job.

What do you practice to have such a clean crisp technique, and after 10 yrs. of not playing how did you start? THank you

Thanks for the nice comment :) Lot of practice, a lot of time and the right teacher. After 10 years there was a lot to do - slow practice in the right way was the most important thing I think. And Chopin etudes...
